Mobile Police Investigating Fatal Wreck

MOBILE, AL.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at approximately 8:42 p.m., officers responded to a traffic accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of University Boulevard and University Loop. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with injuries. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered one of the vehicles was traveling north on University Boulevard, preparing to turn left onto University Loop. It was discovered a male victim was operating a vehicle (motorcycle) when the two vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist and his female passenger were the only victims transported from the scene with injuries.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, MPD was notified that the motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The victim has been identified as Jammie Haynes, 57.
No further information will be released at this time as this remains an active investigation.
