EVERGREEN, AL. If you love festivals, sausage, and fun, then you need to head north on October 18th to Evergreen Alabama, for the Annual Sausage Festival and Fly-In.
More than 100 arts and crafts and food vendors will be on site, alongside a car show, live entertainment, and a kid’s area. For those looking to add some adventure, the festival offers hot air balloon rides that provide a stunning view of Evergreen from above.
One of the event’s highlights is the Middleton Field Southeastern Fly-In, one of the oldest and largest private fly-ins in the Southeast, attracting aviation enthusiasts from all over.
The festival takes place at the Middleton Air Field (14134 Highway 84 Evergreen, Alabama 35401), and admission is free. So come prepared to experience one of Evergreen’s most anticipated events of the entire year and be ready to eat as much Conecuh Sausage as you can get your hands on.
What Is Conecuh Sausage?
Founded in Evergreen in 1947, Conecuh Sausage has become a Southern favorite, known for its sausages with distinct flavor and signature spice blend, all smoked over a pure hickory fire.
When you visit Evergreen, make sure to stop by the Conecuh Sausage gift shop, which has all your favorite sausages, like hickory-smoked and Cajun, as well as gifts, decor, seasonings and gift sets.
Visit between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and you can enjoy a sausage sample or Conecuh dog right off the grill (which we highly recommend). If you don’t live nearby, no worries. Conecuh ships their products all over with one-day shipping to ensure your products arrive fresh. Now that’s something to get excited about.
