Two Arrested in Mobile Burglaries and Thefts

MOBILE, AL. Police officers on patrol were on the lookout for a vehicle that may have been involved in recent thefts.
At approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday, on January 6th, 2026, patrol officers who were patrolling the area of Newburn Road and Highway 158 spotted the vehicle for that authorities were looking for and pulled it over, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Officers detained the occupants, a male and a female while they conducted an investigation.
Inside the vehicle there was evidence of the crimes that they are being accused of police said.
Jesse Higginbotham, 39, of Wilmer, and Jennifer Dickerson, 45, of Semmes were arrested and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail.
Dickerson is charged with one count each of first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft of property, and six counts of first-degree theft of property.
Higginbotham is charged with one count of first-degree criminal mischief, three counts of second-degree theft of property, two counts of third-degree burglary and 12 counts of first-degree theft of property, according to jail records.
As of Thursday morning, both were still incarcerated at the Mobile Metro Jail.
