Three Vehicle Wreck Injures 1-Ties Up I-10 Traffic

SPANISH FORT, Ala. A three-vehicle wreck on I-10 in the Spanish Fort area Monday, August 10th, 2026, slowed traffic and injured at least one person.
The wreck, between exit 30 and 31 westbound, caused traffic to come to a crawl at around 4:40 p.m. as the Spanish Fort Police and Fire Departments and a trooper with ALEA responded to the crash in the middle of the Interstate.
Medstar also arrived and treated one of the drivers.
Traffic was eventually allowed to use the breakdown lane to continue westbound.
The crash was cleared within forty-five minutes, and the debris was cleaned up.
ALEA is still investigating the cause of the crash.
