During the heavy rains of Sunday, several Baldwin County roads were flooded, leaving standing water that drivers may not have realized was deeper than they thought.
At least two water rescues were performed by local firefighters, but no injuries were reported.
On March 30th at around 7:22 the Summerdale Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a wreck that was said to have no injuries involved but when they arrived, firefighters found that two vehicles had been swept off the road by fast moving water.
Firefighters found that a woman was still inside one of those vehicles and were able to get her out and back on dry land. She was not injured according to Assistant Chief Christopher McCain.
Another water rescue was performed in neighboring Loxley by its firefighters on County Road 64 on Sunday, at around 5:30 p.m.
