Long-Intense Mobile Police Pursuit Ends in Arrest

The Mobile Police Department was involved in a pursuit Monday afternoon that started in the Shelton Beach Road and Moffett Road area of the city.
Officers observed a vehicle driving in the area that was missing a tire.
Officers initiated a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop.
Mobile police officers pursued the vehicle on I-65 from that area until the driver’s vehicle struck spikes that were deployed before the I-65/I-10 interchange.
At least one of the police vehicles also received flat tires as a result.
The driver was taken into custody without incident.
No injuries were reported. No property was damaged.
