BAY MINETTE, Ala. Police received calls at around 10:50 a.m. reporting that a bank robbery had just occurred at the United Bank in Bay Minette.
When the police arrived, they found that the suspect had fled.
Police were told that a man entered the bank and handed the teller a note indicating he was armed and demanded money before leaving.
It is not known if that man, now identified as Dondi Pettway, 47 had a gun but he did imply it.
Police issued a be-on-the-lookout to all local law enforcement with a vehicle description and the Spanish Fort Police spotted the vehicle and pulled the suspect over at 11:30 am near Highway 225 and Highway 90.
