Semmes Stabbing Death Under Investigation by Sheriff’s Office

On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Semmes Police Department for assistance with a homicide that occurred.
Sheriff investigators and Semmes police responded to 2141 Dyson Blvd
regarding the death.
Police said that the caller, a female who lived at the home, stated her boyfriend assaulted her and that she stabbed him in the chest with a knife during a fight.
Law enforcement, the fire department EMS were dispatched to the home.
Police said that the boyfriend, identified Bryan Maurice, 58, was deceased at the scene.
MCSO investigators have interviewed the girlfriend and others who were at the scene prior to the stabbing.
At this time no arrests have been made.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office will turn over their investigation to the District Attorney’s Office at this point.
