Police Investigating Shooting, 1 Dead, I Injured

On Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at around noon, the Mobile police received a report of a shooting at a home in the 1700 block of Long Meadow Road.
When officers arrived, they found that a female and a male had been shot and that the female had passed away on the scene.
The Mobile Fire-Rescue and EMS responded to the shooting and treated the male and he was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Many police vehicles, more than a dozen, fire trucks, and ambulances were scene at the house, some staying for hours. It is believed that this may have started as a domestic violence incident.
Mobile police homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
Police said that this is an active investigation.
