Mobile County Authorities Have Arrested Two Men For Distribution of Child Porn

An investigation by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office into the distribution of child pornography has now resulted in the arrest of two men who were involved in the incidents.
The sheriff’s office, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and Special Operations Unit has arrested 34-year-old Trevor Marshall Bateman of Mobile after serving a search warrant at a residence on Grelot Road.
Bateman faces two counts of child porn dissemination and five counts of child porn possession.
The investigation resulted from three cyber tips from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, authorities said.
On March 12, the MCSO ICAC detectives also arrested 26-year-old John Martin Brown of Saraland and charged him with five counts of child porn possession.
MCSO investigators said that after they found that Brown had allegedly disseminated numerous images and videos depicting child sex abuse.
The case was presented to the Mobile County grand jury who issued an indictment on five counts of dissemination and Brown was re-arrested on March 26.
