Quick Police Response Nets Burglary Arrest

MOBILE, AL. A quick response by Mobile police officers has resulted in the arrest of a man who police said was trying to steal an 18-wheeler truck from a business.
Police were initially dispatched to 5565 Carol Plantation Service Road (Hud Trucking) on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, for a possible burglary in progress.
Multiple officers arrived at the business at approximately 3:17 p.m. where they found a man later identified as David Wayne Dunn, inside the cab of the eighteen-wheeler.
During the officer’s investigation, they also discovered that Dunn had already taken items from a second truck.
Police took Dunn into custody and transported him to the Mobile Metro Jail where he is being held without bond on charges of:
Burglary 3d degree
Unlawful Breaking and Entering
Attempted Theft of Property 1st Degree
