Police Investigating Sunday Morning Shooting

Mobile Police responded to a shooting in the downtown area Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m.

On Sunday, January 19, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of 182 St. Francis Street.

Police say around the same time, officers learned that a male victim had just arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Police also found a building, which was not occupied at the time, had been struck by gunfire.

According to police, it appears that the victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

They say he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting remains under investigation.
