Pedestrian Struck in Barnwell Community

BARNWELL COMMUNITY Ala. A Saturday afternoon wreck in the Barnwell Community left one pedestrian injured.
Emergency personnel from the Barnwell Volunteer Fire Department had just finished up their annual open house when they received the emergency dispatch to the wreck at around 11:41 a.m.
Law enforcement, BVFD, and EMS responded to US 98 @ Dominion Drive, and a medical helicopter was also dispatched.
The injured person was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital for additional care.
ALEA also responded to the scene and is currently investigating the crash.
