Mobile County House Heavily Damaged in Fire

Multiple fire departments battled a residential structure fire for close to three hours on Saturday before getting it under control.

At around 3:15 p.m., firefighters were called to a home in the Tillman’s Corner area of the county and as fire trucks arrived in the 5000 block of Andrew Rd., they could see heavy fire and smoke showing from the structure.

Additional resources were called in from the Mobile Fire-Rescue and Fowl River Fire District to bring the blaze under control. During the fire, the roof collapsed, and firefighters continued fighting the fire from outside.

There was heavy damage and looks to be a total loss.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
