Meatpacking Plant Fire in Chickasaw Devastating

CHICKASAW, AL. A fire at a meatpacking plant brought a large response from multiple fire departments on Tuesday night.
Chickasaw firefighters were first dispatched to the Hall Namie Packing Company, located on Iroquois Street, and soon called for help from other fire departments.
The owner of the business, Deborah Hodges, said that they had been in business for almost eighty years and that the fire, which is believed to have started in the boiler room is devastating.
Police said that there were no employees on the property and that no one was injured in the fire.
Currently, the fire remains under investigation.
