Highway 59 in Foley Road Project Begins

Another road project is kicking off in Baldwin County.

This time, work is being done at the intersection of Alabama 59 and County Road 12.

This project will add right-turn lanes to both northbound and southbound Alabama 59 and left turn lanes will be added on County Road 12, along with other improvements. According to the Alabama Department of Transportation and the city of Foley.

The east side of County Road 12 will be temporarily closed.
Drivers should use the Foley Beach Express and County Road 20 as detour routes.

The work is set to begin on Thursday and is expected to last around 8- 10 weeks according to ALDOT.
