A grocery store employee turned online content creator allegedly urinated on food products for years.
According to a statement issued by the Keene Police Department, 23-year-old Kelli Tedford of Keene, New Hampshire was taken into custody after an anonymous individual alerted authorities to disturbing videos that were posted “to an internet site.”
Authorities said that in one video, Tedford “recorded herself contaminating items in a local business with her urine.” The business in question was identified by police as Monadnock Food Co-Op, which is located in Keene, New Hampshire.
“Upon notification by Keene Police, the Co-Op immediately removed the affected product and, in coordination with the health department, issued a recall,” police wrote.
According to police, an investigation uncovered multiple other videos in which Tedford “contaminated items and/or surfaces with urine” in Keene “and surrounding communities,” with police noting that several videos “appear to be recorded as early as 2021.”
Tedford was taken into custody Friday and charged with criminal mischief but later released on personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on April 7.
Police said Monadnock lost around $1,500 due to merchandise that needed to be destroyed, as well as cleaning costs. The investigation remains ongoing and additional criminal charges are possible, according to authorities.
