Fairhope Reports Sewage Spills in Numerous Areas

FAIRHOPE, Ala. According to the Fairhope Public Utilities, the city has experienced numerous overflows in parts of the city due to recent heavy rains.
According to a news release from Fairhope Public Utilities, the overflow occurred after midnight, in the early morning hours of Monday, October 27, 2025.
Approximately five inches of rain displaced the untreated sewage.
Impacted areas include:
Morphy Avenue, possibly impacting Cowpen Creek
Valley Liftstation, possibly impacting Tatumville Gully
Rohr Liftstation, possibly impacting Waterhole Branch
Fairhope Public Utilities said that crews cleaned the areas and placed signs in the affected areas as soon as possible.
FPU urges the public to use caution in the impacted areas and thoroughly cook fish and seafood.
