Elberta Police Charge Man in Stabbing Incident
ELBERTA, Ala.

Elberta police say that they responded to a stabbing on Sunday and found one person bleeding from their wounds.
Police said officers responded to the stabbing which was on Sandy Creek Drive off U.S. 98.
When officers arrived, they found that the perpetrator of the stabbing, identified as 22-year-old Davouris Lewis, had remained on the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital via medical helicopter for treatment.
Lewis is charged with second-degree assault, which is a Class C felony in Alabama, that carries a possible prison sentence of one to 10 years and a fine of up to $15,000.
Lewis was booked into the Baldwin County Jail Monday morning and released Monday afternoon on a $5,000 bond, jail records show.
