Daphne Target Store Becoming Repeat Target of Theft

DAPHNE Ala. The Target Store on US Highway 98 in Daphne has become the target, for multiple shoplifting incidents in recent months according to police.
During the month of April, store employees called the police to report thefts several times a week and those thefts are just the ones that employees witnessed. Many retail thefts go unreported locally and nationwide.
On April 6, 2025, just before 4 p.m., Daphne police were called to the Target store for a theft and Ashely Smith Cobb was arrested and charged with Theft of Property.
Cobb is accused of stealing:
Lip Balm; 7 pack
Cosmetic Concealer
Ink Pens; 3 pack
Pain relief medication; 20 Ct.
Laundry wrinkle release
Paper notebook; 3 pack
Cologne
Disinfectant spray
Greeting cards
Fabric freshener
Cottonel Wipe; 14 pack
Nail grooming set
Gel pens; 8 pack
Permanent maker;5 pack
First aid kit
Foundation makeup
Liquid medication
Compression travel bag
Acne pimple patch
Greetings cards
Car Air Freshener; 2 pack
Lint roller
On April 27, 2025, we reported that the Ulta Beauty Store located on US Highway 90 in Daphne reported a major organized retail theft incident on April 17th, 2025, at around 6:55 p.m.
Police responded to the store and employees reported that the following items were taken without being paid for:
Perfume; 1.7 oz
Perfume; 3.30 oz
Perfume; 3.04 oz
Perfume; 3.4 oz

During the month of April, Lowes and Home Depot stores also reported thefts.
Currently, Daphne Police are looking for Robert Sigler III who is a career thief and has multiple warrants out for his arrest with two different agencies. Sigler stands accused of attempting to leave the Daphne Sam’s Club with $1,300 worth of electronics and seafood a few weeks ago.
Shoplifting regularly occurs in big box stores, boutique shops, sporting goods and at your local convenience store but is seldom reported.
