Loxley Woman Arrested For Severe Child Abuse and Drug Possession

BALDWIN COUNTY Ala. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office reported that on April 15, 2025, they received a report of child abuse that occurred in the unincorporated area of Loxley, Al.
Sheriff deputies were dispatched to investigate the incident and discovered that an 11-year-old victim sustained multiple contusions to his arms and back during the abuse.
At that point, BCSO identified thirty-four-year-old April Nichole Allen was identified as the suspect.
On May 1, 2025, Uniformed BCSO deputies was assisting the driver of vehicle having car troubles and identified that person to be Allen.
Allen was found to be in possession of three different controlled substances, to include pressed pills that tested presumptively positive as fentanyl.
Allen was transported to the Investigations Command and interviewed by Criminal Investigators assigned to our child protection unit. During the interview, Allen admitted to the abuse and to purchasing and possessing controlled substances.
Allen has been charged with Torture, Willful Abuse of a Child Under 18 Years of Age, and three counts of Unlawful Possession or Receipt of a Controlled Substance.
