Daphne Police Charge 3 Louisiana Women With Organized Retail Theft, Drug Possession

DAPHNE, Ala. The Daphne Department responded to a store on US 90 that was a victim of retail thefts, and it was not the first time.
Daphne police said that when officers at the Ulta Beauty Store, they were told that several women had been seen shoplifting at the store.
When police arrived, they were able to stop three women as they tried to leave the store.
Police discovered stolen merchandise, and upon further investigation, officers found that the women also had cocaine, various controlled medications, crack, and ecstasy.
Destiny Mitchell, 26, Earian Barquet, 28, and Jeanekia Robinson, 33, were arrested and charged with felony organized retail theft. Mitchell and Barquet were also charged with possession of marijuana, and Mitchell was additionally charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
Police said that this store has been the site of several recent shoplifting arrests.
Alabama law defines organized retail theft as two or more people working together to steal from a retail business.
That law, enacted in 2023, enhances penalties for coordinated shoplifting and imposes stricter consequences that include 2 to 20 years in prison.
On Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, police were once again called to the store for another shoplifting incident.
Christyana Holifield and Kiersten McKennies, both of Mobile, were charged with Theft of Property 4th degree, based on the value of the items stolen.
