Daphne Fire Department Responds to Apartment Fire

DAPHNE, Ala. Firefighters were called to an apartment fire on Friday afternoon at around 1:30 p.m.
According to the resident who lives at the Bay Breeze Apartments, located at 29150 Lake Forest Blvd, while doing laundry they smelled smoke and soon began to see some smoke coming from the utility room.
The Daphne Fire Department responded to the report of the fire and the Spanish Fort Fire Department also responded as part of the mutual-aid response pact.
Daphne police also dispatched officers to the scene.
While firefighters were working on the fire scene, several other area fire departments including the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department covered the Daphne Fire Department’s response area
Moderate but limited damage was reported at the second-floor unit, and firefighters checked for extension of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
