Convicted of Unlawful Re-Entry Into US in 2018, He Now Faces a Gun Charge in Saraland

MOBILE, AL. An illegal immigrant from Honduras who was convicted of re-entering the US unlawfully in 2018, has been found in Saraland with a firearm.
Police had an interaction with Mario Ramon Mendoza-Martinez and found that he was unlawfully carrying a firearm.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that he was in the country illegally.
According to federal court documents, in 2018, Mendoza-Martinez was convicted of ‘Illegal Reentry’ in Maverick County, Texas.
Police have charged Mendoza-Martinez with a charge of ‘Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol’.
The Department of Homeland Security has placed a ‘hold’ on his release.
