Baldwin County Firefighters Have Busy Weekend Responding to Brush Fires and Car Wrecks

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. Firefighters across Baldwin County were kept very busy throughout the weekend as brush fires and motor vehicle wrecks occurred repeatedly from one end of the county to the other.
At least 15 brush/woods/outdoor fires were reported throughout the county between Friday, September 19th, and Sunday, September 21st, 2025.
Firefighters in several areas said that they also responded to some of the same fires because they had rekindled.
Some of those fires were reported on County Road 93 and CR 87, Camellia Road in Silverhill, and in the cities of Lillian, Fairhope, and Daphne.
Other fires were also reported on Peter Morris Road, Valencia Drive, Archie Road, and along Interstate 10.
Many traffic collisions also occurred during the weekend, including several that resulted in serious injuries.
Police, Fire, and EMS units responded to several wrecks that included some serious injuries.
Authorities also reported six wrecks with injuries including a vehicle rollover on Interstate 10, wrecks on Baldwin Beach Express, Pate Road, US Highway 98 and Mary Ann Beach Road in Barnwell, County Road 55 & Thompson Road in Silverhill, South McKenzie Street in Foley, US 90 in Robertsdale, a serious injury wreck in Loxley at Lackland and Lakeway Drive, and there were accidents reported in Gulf Shores and Foley Beach Express and in Bay Minette.
