Mobile 911 Director Fired

MOBILE, Ala. The Mobile County 911 Director, Roy Hodge has been terminated according to Mobile County Communications District Commissioner Michael McLean.
A short statement released after the termination read in part that the MCCD-911 has made the decision to end the employment of Director Roy Hodge, effective September 18, 2025. While personnel matters are always difficult, our responsibility is to ensure that our team reflects the values and standards our community expects and deserves.
We would like to thank Director Hodge for his years of service to our community, with the City of Mobile and the MCCD.
We are grateful for the continued trust and support of our community and will keep working every day to honor that trust through our action and service.
The announcement did not disclose the reason for the termination.
