Woman Uncooperative-Resisted ALEA During DUI Arrest

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ala. An ALEA trooper conducted a traffic stop in Washington County Friday afternoon around 4 p.m., on July 17th, 2026, but it was no routine stop, police said.
The trooper noticed signs of impairment and began conducting further investigations, but the driver was uncooperative and eventually began resisting the ALEA officer.
Washington County sheriff deputies and additional state troopers were dispatched to the scene.
Brittany A. Russell was taken into custody at around 4:25 p.m. and transported to the Washington County Sheriff’s detention center.
Russell has been charged with Driving Under the Influence and Child-Endangering Welfare.
Russell was being held on a $6500 bond.
