Woman Shot At Publix During Robbery

MOBILE Ala.
An armed robbery of a woman in the parking lot of the Publix located in the 100 block of North Florida Street has left one woman with gunshot wounds.
Police responded to 911 calls on Saturday, April 19, 2025, just before 3:30 p.m. Officers were advised that a shooting at occurred and when they arrived, they discovered a female victim with a gunshot injury.
Mobile Fire Rescue was also dispatched, and the woman was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Officers canvassed the area and were able to apprehend a male subject a short time later.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered the armed robber demanded money from the victim, and during a struggle, the victim was shot.
This remains an active investigation.
