Woman Charged With Armed Robbery of Thrift Store

MOBILE, AL.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 5:40 p.m., officers responded to 5441 Highway 90 W. (America’s Thrift Store) in reference to a female subject leaving the business with unpaid merchandise who police say threatened store employees when they attempted to stop her.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the subject had already left the business with the unpaid merchandise.
The employee reported that while in the parking lot, she threatened to shoot a store employee.
Police quickly identified the suspect and located her in the area.
Apryl McLeod, 27, was arrested without incident and charged with a felony charge of Robbery 1st Degree and transported to Metro Jail where she remains.
