BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. A dangerous incident at an area park has landed two men in jail after police were called to the Bohemian Park in Fairhope.
According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began Monday evening just before midnight when 20-year-old Cedric Goines assaulted an 18-year-old male who was sitting in a car with Goines 16-year-old ex-girlfriend.
During the assault, the girl fled the vehicle and ran into nearby woods and hid.
Law enforcement said that Goines reportedly followed her and tried to make her leave with him.
While Goines was allegedly struggling with the girl, another man, 19-year-old Aaron Pacheo, who arrived at the park with Goines, allegedly pointed a pistol at the 18-year-old male and took a firearm and cellphone from him.
Law enforcement officers were notified and conducted an investigation and determined that both men had committed various crimes though they had fled the area before police arrived.
Although Goines and Pacheo left the area together, they were later arrested at an apartment complex in Foley.
Goines is charged with third-degree domestic violence-harassment, and Pacheo is charged with first-degree robbery.
More charges are possible as the sheriff’s department continues their investigation.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with questions or more information regarding the case is asked to contact Captain Justin Correa with the Criminal Investigations Division at 251-972-8589.
