Thomas Hospital Building a New Wing

The Thomas Hospital in Fairhope is holding a Groundbreaking Ceremony today after announcing that a new wing will be added to the current facility.

The patient tower is very much needed, the hospital said, because of the growth in the area.

The groundbreaking will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Morphy Avenue and Ingleside Street.

Hospital leaders say they have partnered with Hoar Construction, and the new patient tower will include 25 medical-surgical beds to increase inpatient care capacity.
