A report of a possible drowning in the Mobile Bay Wednesday morning sent emergency services from multiple agencies to the area of Interstate 10.
A person calling 911 reported the sighting of a person in the water that went under, and Spanish Fort police and fire departments were initially sent to investigate.
Other agencies including ALEA, search and rescue boats, an airboat and others were soon dispatched to assist in the search and rescue operations.
The East and West sides of Interstate 10 were partially blocked by emergency vehicles causing traffic to back up, especially on the Eastbound side.
The Daphne Search and Rescue unit was also notified.
At this time, the search continues.
