Teenager in Custody Charged With Double Homicide

ATMORE, Ala. A teenager wanted for the murder of two people that occurred in Atmore on December 8, 2025, is now in police custody and charged with two counts of homicide.
Dexter Adams, 18, now faces two charges of murder for the deaths of 25-year-old Juwan McNeal and 27-year-old Joe Jones Jr. that happened on December 8, 2024, in the area of East Ashley Street around 8:15 p.m.
Both McNeal and Jones were found dead in a vehicle and were shot multiple times.
Authorities working the double homicide were able to develop a combination of forensic evidence and digital evidence that led them to Adams.
Adams is being held in the Escambia County Detention Center.
He is also facing other charges related to other shootings.
Police said that other people may also face charges related to the murders in the future as they continue to investigate this brutal crime.
