BALDWIN COUNTY Ala. State troopers along the Gulf Coast were on high alert for intoxicated drivers both on the road and on the water during the July 4th holiday weekend.
While troopers kept an eye on drivers along our Interstates and county toads, the ALEA Marine Police patrolled our waterways keeping boaters safe.
While on patrol, police stopped a vessel on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, that was being operated by Jonathan Ray Dungan, 49, and observed that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Troopers conducted a DUI investigation and took Dungan into custody.
He was charged with Operating Vessel Under Influence and booked on a $1000 bond.
Jerry Leon Williamson, 57, was also stopped while operating a vessel and found to be impaired.
After law enforcement officers conducted an investigation, Williamson was arrested and booked into the county jail.
He later bonded out on a $2500 bond.
