Taco and Tequila Festival Coming to Foley

FOLEY, Ala. Coming back to Foley in November is the Tacos and Tequila Festival, featuring food, music, and fun for all.
The festival will be on Saturday, Nov. 8, and Sunday, Nov. 9, at Heritage Park, located at 200 North McKenzie Street in Foley.
“This high-energy event will feature an exciting lineup of entertainment, unique artisans, delicious festival eats, and Hispanic-inspired flavors at every food truck,”
The festival will also feature arts and crafts vendors, a family fun zone, and cash contests. For adults over 21, Saturday will include free bourbon, tequila, rum, and rye samples.
This event is all about bringing our community and families and friends together to create forever memories,” Lisa Yeater, president of Beach Life Events, said. “From the food, music, family fun zone, artists and crafters, the Tacos & Tequila Festival has something for everyone.
Each food vendor will feature at least one Hispanic menu item along with their typical menu items.
“From tacos and tamales to refreshing margaritas and tequila specialties, the festival will satisfy every craving,” the release said.

Admission is $5 at the gate; kids 12 and under get in free.

10 a.m. – Festival opens, free bourbon and tequila sampling all day
10:30 a.m. – Country tribute band 90’s Country
12:30 p.m. – Jalapeño Eating Contest
1 p.m. – Frank Garrit & Left of Center
3 p.m. – Toss the Tacos Contest
4 p.m. – Tribute to Def Leppard by Disco Kiss
6 p.m. – Festival closes for the day
Sunday, Nov. 9
10 a.m. – Festival opens
11 a.m. – Almost Skynyrd, A Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band
12:30 p.m. – Taco Eating Contest
1 p.m. – Shake It Out band
1:30 p.m. – Eagles Sunrise, the #1 Eagles tribute band
5 p.m. – Festival ends
