State Trooper’s Traffic Stop Leads to Recovery of Stolen Vehicle and Arrest of Driver

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. A traffic infraction on Monday morning that was observed by police has resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the arrest of its driver.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., July 20, 2026, an ALEA trooper pulled over the driver of a vehicle on Interstate 10 and the Highway 59 exit near Loxley.
While conducting further investigations into the driver and the vehicle, the trooper became aware of information that reported that the driver was behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle.
Additional law enforcement including Loxley Police arrived and took the driver, identified as Gage Ryan Davis, 32 into custody without incident.
Davis has been charged with Receiving Stolen Vehicle, a felony in Alabama.
Davis was transported to the Baldwin County Detention Center where he is currently being confined.
