State Trooper Struck and Injured on Interstate 65

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. An ALEA state trooper working in a construction zone on Interstate 65 near the 56-mile marker, was struck by another vehicle while he was on duty.

ALEA said that the trooper was injured in the crash which occurred on Monday, December 22, 2025, at around 9:35 p.m.

Both the unidentified trooper and the driver of the second vehicle were transported to an area hospital by EMS.

This traffic collision is under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
