Special-ED Volunteer Arrested on Second Charge of Sexaully Assaulting Student

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala.
An area man recently charged with sexually abusing a child is now facing a second charge.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 74-year-old James Edward Williams for the second time on sexual abuse allegations after the sheriff’s department learned of a second victim, authorities said.
After further investigation, Williams is facing a new charge of child sex abuse. He has a bond hearing scheduled for Wednesday, jail records show.
The 74-year-old school volunteer was originally arrested and charged for allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl with special needs at the Ella Grant Elementary.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said the same day, a Prichard police officer responded to the elementary school regarding the allegations of sexual abuse that occurred in a special education classroom.
According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the Prichard Police Department contacted them to help with the investigation.
