Spanish Fort High School Student Treated For THC Intoxication
SPANISH FORT, Ala
December 4, 2024
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, a student at the Spanish Fort High School became ill and was taken to the office area.
The school resource officer and school staff talked with the student and it was determined that the teenager may have ingested THC.
An ambulance was called to the school and the student was treated.
Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber stated that a second student was also involved in the incident.
THC is a derivative of marijuana and is primarily responsible for the high that people get from smoking marijuana or eating foods, snacks, or gummies containing THC oil.
This incident is under investigation.
