Six People Dead, 14 Injured in Area Wrecks

MOBILE, Ala. Six people are dead, and more than fourteen others have been injured in area traffic collisions in just five days.
Traffic collisions in Baldwin and Mobile Counties have claimed lives, injured more than a dozen others, shut down roadways, and caused thousands of dollars in damage.
The latest fatality was reported in Mobile on Sunday when a person making a turn near the intersection of Cottage Hill Road and Montlimar Drive collided with a second vehicle, causing it to flip. Two people were injured, and one person died, according to Mobile police. Officers said the wreck is still under investigation.
A man and a woman from Saraland both died in separate and unrelated wrecks.
Victoria B. Rodgers, 74, was fatally injured when the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan she was driving was struck by the 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Henry L. Howard, 61, of Montgomery.
The crash occurred at 5:01 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and claimed the life of the Saraland woman.
A two-vehicle crash that happened at approximately 8:45 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, claimed the life of a Saraland man.
The crash occurred on U.S. 43 near the 10-mile marker, approximately one mile south of the Creola city limits, in Mobile County.
Jason A. Stanley, 48, was fatally injured when the 2002 Jeep Wrangler he was driving was struck by the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350 driven by Nora T. Smith, 70, of Satsuma. Stanley was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected, and pronounced deceased at the time.
Police also responded to a serious wreck that was fatal. Zebedee Marks, 73, was critically injured when the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup he was driving was struck by the 2026 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Michael O. Kidd, 60, of Mobile. Marks was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to the Mobile Infirmary in Saraland, where he succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.
A man who may have had a heart attack while driving crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head-on at Foley Beach Boulevard and US 98 causing a seven-vehicle chain reaction collision.
Foley Police found that 62-year-old Ernest Milton Kinsey of Elberta was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Multiple other wrecks have occurred resulting in injuries during the past five days, including a wreck on Mary Ann Beach Road in the Barnwell Community, where three people were injured.
There were also three wrecks on I-10 resulting in injuries, as well as injury accidents reported in Daphne, Loxley, Foley, Mobile, Citronelle, Fairhope, Summerdale, Spanish Fort, and Elberta.
