SHOOTING REPORTED IN FOLEY

A shooting has been reported near downtown Foley today.

Police, firefighters, and EMS were called to the area after it was reported that a person had been shot.

A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the area.

Foley police conducted an investigation and found that this was an accidental shooting and that the bullet had struck the person in the leg.

The injured person was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

There is no threat to the community.
