Sherriff’s Department Investigating Theft at Hamilton Produce

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft that occurred in the overnight hours on Sunday,
According to law enforcement, thieves were seen on surveillance video at around 3 a.m. at Hamilton’s Produce stealing merchandise from the business.
The video clearly shows that a blue Chevrolet pulls up and a man and a woman walk out and start loading up the car with store merchandise. Later in the video another man can be seen leaving the back seat and joining in on the leaf larceny.
The stolen items are fruit trees and various types of ferns, and other plants that were valued at over $300.
Hamilton’s Produce is located at 13451 Moffett Rd in Wilmer and like many garden centers and neighborhood fruit stands sometimes leaves some products outside overnight.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said that they are investigating the theft, and the store owner is offering a $100 reward to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest.
