COLBERT AL. A recent announcement stated that another business is putting down roots in Alabama and investing millions of dollars into our economy.
The Seattle-based wood products company plans to build a wood processing facility in Colbert County, bringing a $16.25 million investment.
The Lumber Manufactory Inc. project is expected to create 59 jobs once the facility becomes operational, and workers are estimated to make $22.19 an hour on average, according to Alabama Department of Commerce records.
This is good news for that rural area and for our state Tony Gwinn, a marketing specialist who works to promote Alabama to businesses and investors nationwide.
The development aligns with Alabama’s ongoing efforts to attract new and expanding industries, particularly in advanced manufacturing and wood products operations, according to the department’s website.
Specific details about the project remain undisclosed, including the construction timeline, exact location within Colbert County and official hiring plans.
