A quick burning brush fire and a light breeze were all that it took for the fire to take off and spread across a field burning everything in its sight including a mobile home.
Firefighters from multiple fire departments were dispatched Saturday to the address of 10733 Charlie Johnson Road at around 12:25 p.m. on March 1st.
Before firefighters could arrive and get water on the fire, a mobile home caught fire as well as the wooded area around it.
Stapleton, Crossroads, and Whitehouse Forks fire departments all arrived quickly and immediately set up an attack on the fire.
EMS and the sheriff’s department were also dispatched to the scene.
There were no reports of injuries.
During the weekend, Baldwin County fire departments responded to more than a half dozen brush fires and several structure fires.
