Robbery Suspect Flees Empty Handed

The Mobile Police Department is reporting that officers responded to the Courtyard by Marriott located at 1000 W I-65 Service Road S Friday morning at 3:41 a.m. for a reported robbery of a person.

Responding officers met with the female who said that a male approached her with a gun and attempted to rob her.

MPD reported that the female victim was able to thwart the robbery attempt, and the suspect fled the area.

According to the police, there were no injuries and police did not locate the robbery suspect.

The robbery attempt remains under investigation.
