Red Snapper Season Officially Opens May 23rd

BALDWIN COUNTY Al. On Friday, May 23, 2025, the red snapper season officially starts in Alabama and will run seven days a week until June 30.
During this time, only non-commercial vessels are allowed to be fishing for the red snappers until the season for federally-permitted-for-hire vessels opens on June 1st.
After June 30, the season will transition to Fridays through Mondays until the private angler quota is met.
The season for federally-permitted-for-hire vessels closes on September 16th.
