Police Report Low Arrest Numbers During Sand in My Boots Event

GULF SHORES Ala. The arrest numbers for the Sand in My Boots event have been released and are understandably low.

With 40,000 people and a few hundred police officers, it’s difficult to enforce every law.

The win for residents and visitors is that there were no major incidents of violence.

ARRESTS:

37 TOTAL ARRESTS

26-Controlled Substance

1-Felony Possession of Marijuana

6-Public Intoxication

4-Underage Drinking

4 Disorderly Conduct

1 Warrant

1 Trespassing

1 Attempt Elude Law Enforcement

1 Obstructing Government Operations

Several persons were charged with multiple offenses.
