Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Foley

FOLEY, Ala. The Foley Police Department responded to a shooting Thursday evening on Ghost Horse Drive at approximately 5:16 p.m.

The Foley Fire Department and Medstar were also dispatched to the scene.
When officers arrived, they determined that one person was deceased.

Foley police said that their investigation has determined that there was a domestic altercation resulting in the death of one person.

Police emphasize that this is an isolated incident, and that all involved parties are accounted for and currently being interviewed by detectives, and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Further details, including the identities of those involved, are being withheld pending proper family notifications and the preliminary findings of the investigation.
