Police Arrest Foley Man For Assaulting Security Officer at USA Mitchell Center

MOBILE, Ala. An incident at the Mitchell Center has led to the arrest of a seventy-two-year-old man from Foley according to the University of South Alabama police department.
72-year-old Victor Fernandez was arrested after allegedly hitting a security guard with his car near the Mitchell Center.
Police responded to the incident and charged Fernandez with second-degree assault although it’s unknown what transpired between the security officer and Fernandez.
The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital.
Fernandez was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail and later released on a $7,500 bond. He has a court appearance scheduled for May 22.
