Citronelle Mother Charged with DUI Manslaughter After Death of Daughter in Wreck

MOBILE COUNTY Ala. A single-vehicle crash at approximately 9:17 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, has claimed the life of a juvenile.
The 5-year-old was fatally injured when the 2011 Honda Accord the juvenile was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a tree.
The juvenile was not using a child restraint at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Honda, Cheryl D. Lynn, 30, of Citronelle, was injured and transported to USA Hospital in Mobile for treatment.

A 7-year-old juvenile and 1-year-old juvenile, who were also passengers in the Honda, were injured and transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on U.S. 45 near the 22-mile marker, approximately three miles south of Chunchula, in Mobile County.

On Wednesday, May 7, Lynn was arrested and was booked into the Metro Jail in Mobile.

Lynn was charged with Reckless Manslaughter and is being held on a $100,000.00 bond.

This wreck was investigated by Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division.
